Raymond graduated from Dunbar High School in West Virginia. He had a career as a Prison Guard at Oregon State Penitentiary. Raymond married Judy Colleen Walund on March 26, 1980. Together they raised six children.
Raymond spent his time fishing, doing carpentry, riding motorcycles, and traveling all over the United States with Judy by his side.
He is survived by his wife, Judy; their children, Michael Sparks, Brenda Sparks, Cheryl Fallos, Shaun Walund, Shelley Jolliffe, Niki Peters; seventeen grandchildren; twenty-seven great-grandchildren; and his sister, Patricia Meeks.
A celebration of life for Raymond will be held at Howell, Edwards, Doerksen with Rigdon-Ransom Funeral Directors (1350 Commercial Street SE, Salem) at 2:00pm. Memories may be shared at hed-fh.com for Raymond's family.
