Cliff was born on October 16, 1934, to Charles and Inez (Goodell) Crook. Cliff had one brother, Robert Crook, who passed away in 1983.
Cliff graduated from Stayton High School in 1952. He then joined the Air Force shortly after graduation and married Sharon Teske while stationed at Edwards Air Force Base in California. He had three children, Greg Crook, Kim Warnier, and Kellie Shults.
Cliff and his partner built the Sportsman's Center in Mill City. After he sold the Sportsman's Center, he worked for Metropolitan Life and Keith Brown Lumber.
Cliff married Pat Younger in 1987. They were married almost 40 years. With pat by his side, they enjoyed camping, road trips, and visiting with family along the way. Cliff enjoyed hunting, fishing, and golf. Cliff loved making cookies at Christmastime and the family reunion in California. He loved and looked forward to that trip more than any other.
Cliff is preceded in death by his parents and brother, both sets of grandparents; Seth & Eveline Crook and Vernon & Sylvia Goodell.
Cliff is survived by his son Greg (frankie), daughters Kim (Eric) and Kellie (Alan), stepsons Michael (Amy) Matthew (Cristina), 11 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren.
A Mass will be held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 721 Chemeketa St NE, Salem, OR 97301, US, on September 3, 2026, from 1:30 pm to 3:00 pm.
