He was born on July 29, 1953, to Clinton Edwin and Joan Barbara (Damitz) Odell in Roseville, California. Raised in California and Washington, Kelly graduated high school in Curtis, Washington, in 1971. Shortly after his graduation, he enlisted in the US Marines, where he served his country honorably in Vietnam. After he returned home, he met Nancy Elizabeth Cabe, and they were married in 1975. He joined the Carpenters Union, local 2127 in Centralia, and worked in heavy construction all over the US, retiring from the Michels Corporation in 2013 as a Vice President and General Manager. He enjoyed golf, fishing, was an avid sportsman, and published several articles in Trenchless Technologies.
Kelly is survived by his wife, Nancy; daughter Kelli A. Odell (Brent Rutkowski); son Scott Odell (Ashley); and granddaughter Addison.
A celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 15, at Howell, Edwards, Doerksen with Rigdon-Ransom Funeral Directors at 2 pm.
