Our dear mother and friend, Colleen Tyler Manning, passed away suddenly on February 21, 2024 at the age of 95. She had lived in many places, but called Salem, OR, her home for the last years of her life. Colleen was born in Los Angeles, CA on March 23, 1928. She was married to her high school sweetheart, Alma Edward Manning, on June 24, 1945. Ed passed away on May 7, 2001. She is survived by her sons, John (Susan) Manning, Thomas (Karen) Manning and her daughter, Teri (Daniel) Triplett. She also leaves behind 18 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-granddaughters. She loved art, music, photography, interior design and travel. She had a beautiful soprano singing voice and sang in many choirs. She was asked to play the lead in the Carmel Community Theater performances of “Madame Butterfly “. She loved her family, her many friends and her service in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She will be remembered, missed and eternally loved. Viewing will be at Howell, Edwards, Doerksen Funeral Home from 4pm to 8pm on February 27, 2024 with services at 11:30am on February 28, 2024 at the Salem 1st Ward Chapel in Keizer. Interment will be at 10:30am on February 29, 2024 at the Willamette National Cemetery.
