I worked with Denny for many years at the Oregon Lottery. He was a mentor and a good friend. He loved to share stories about his life before the Lottery. Music was often a big part of those stories. I shared the news of Denny's passing with on old friend. She said "Denny now has all the answers of the universe. You know he's having a blast and I'm sure he's set up a gig." 
That thought makes me smile. 



So sorry to hear that Denny has passed.  I worked with him at the lottery for many years and he was great to work with and one of the old school type of men.  We chatted a lot about the outdoors and hunting, and I enjoyed his stories.  God Bless him.  RIP buddy.

I am so very sorry to learn of Denny’s passing.  It’s been my pleasure to know and play music with his sons Troy and Drew, and to have heard them speak so fondly of him over the years.  Denny would come to our gigs and was undoubtedly proud and happy to hear his sons continue making music beyond the family band where he gave them their start.   What a gift of great memories he left them, among countless others to  the all that knew him.
