Dolly E. Hurley

Dolly Edrine Hurley passed away at her home in Salem, Oregon on August 9, 2023 at the age of 82. Dolly was born in Oklahoma to parents Harold and Edna Holdeman. She was a part of a large family which included four sisters and one brother. She spent her childhood in Perryton, Texas and attended Perryton High School. She was 18 when she met her husband, Duane E. Hurley while visiting relatives in Oregon. Dolly and Duane married at the age of 19 and were married for 62 years. Dolly served in pastoral ministry with her husband in several churches in Oregon, Washington, and Texas.

Following her years in ministry, she was a caregiver for her youngest sister Sunny Holdeman, her mother Edna Holdeman, and a few elderly community members.

She is survived by her husband Duane E. Hurley, her sister Bonnie Robbins, daughter Denise Calentine, son Duane E. Hurley Jr, as well as grandchildren, Casey Hurley, Terra Steckman, Dillon Hurley, Benjamin Hurley, Scott Calentine, Jesse Calentine and several great grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 23rd at 11:00 am at Abundant Life Center in Jefferson, Oregon.
