Dorothy died on February 24, 2014. She was born to Pete and Emma Neuswanger in Greeley, Colorado, on February 28, 1917. A few months later they moved to Silverton, Oregon, where she grew up and attended Evergreen School and Silverton High School.
She attended Modern School of Beauty and spent her life as a beautician in Salem, owning her own shop most of those years. She retired in the 1960s, but continued doing a few old customers into her 90s.
She married Glen "Peabody" Price on July 14, 1945 in Salem, Oregon. They had two sons and were married forty-two years, until his death in 1987. In 1995 she married Neil McGill, and they were married until his death in 2005.
Dorothy's hobbies included painting, crafts, card making, gardening, gambling, traveling, and picnics and luncheons with family and friends.
She is survived by her sons Randy (Cari) Price of Salem, Oregon, and Jim Price of La Pine, Oregon. She is also survived by stepsons Larry McGill of Menlo Park, California, and Paul McGill of Portland, Oregon; and stepdaughters Julie Francis and Beth Mattson of Salem, Oregon, and Patty Cromwell of Loveland, Colorado; and eleven grandchildren.
