

She was born in St. James, MN on July 4, 1923. She was married to Zeral L. Brown on June 6, 1942. Dorretta spent 75 years as a missionary in Dominican Republic, Cuba, and Mexico. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Salem, Oregon. In 1947 Dorretta and Zeral were commissioned to serve together by the First Baptist Church of Salem, Oregon, who faithfully continued their support until the time of her passing. During their ministry they founded the TIME Missions, which continues to this day inspiring groups of teens and adults to serve God with their lives throughout the world.
She was known for her cooking and love for Christ, and her dedication and love for her family. She is survived by her children, Joanna Berry, Philip Brown, Sharon Porter. And 11 grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
A Memorial service will be held at 2 pm, on July 14, 2024 at Salem, First Baptist Church, 395 Marion St., N.E.
