

A proud veteran and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Duane leaves behind a loving family and treasured memories shaped by his faith, kindness, character, steady strength, and unwavering love.
Born on May 19, 1948, in Lebanon, Oregon, to June and Charles Northey, Duane proudly served in the U.S. Air Force and lived as a man of honor, guided by duty, integrity, faith, and devotion to family.
He was a loving, honest, and dependable man whose greatest joy was his family. Through his guidance, wisdom, stories, and steady presence, he touched the lives of all who knew him.
Duane managed Jan-Ree Water Co., later owned and operated Duane Northey Trucking, and retired from the City of Salem Department of Transportation. He brought pride, dedication, and a strong work ethic to every role.
He was preceded in death by his beloved son, Dustin.
Duane is survived by his devoted wife, Donna; his son, Drew, and Drew’s wife, Samantha; Dustin’s wife, Donni; six cherished grandchildren; and five treasured great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday, July 20, 2026, at 2 p.m. at Virgil T. Golden Funeral Service in Salem, Oregon. Family and friends are warmly invited to gather in honor of Duane’s life.
He is deeply loved, dearly missed, and will never be forgotten.
