Eva Matilda Brossard passed away on April 25, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and unwavering faith. She lived a life rooted in compassion, guided by her deep devotion to her Catholic faith, which was a source of comfort, purpose, and strength throughout her life.
Eva was a devoted wife to her husband, Wayne, and together they built a life centered on family and faith. She was a loving mother, and is survived by her four children, Linda, Terry, Carol, and Melanie. She was also a proud grandmother of nine and great-grandmother of ten, finding immense joy in the generations that followed her.
Eva was always ready to join a card game, play with grandkids, set a puzzle, share a book and a laugh. She liked lunches out though frequently ate the same thing. Her greatest joy was spending time with family. She gave great hugs and had a wonderful laugh. She enjoyed music and singing of all kinds and joyfully tapped, clapped and often sang along.
She will be remembered for her generous heart, her steady presence, her sense of humor, and her ability to make others feel welcomed and cared for. Eva cherished simple moments, especially those spent surrounded by her loved ones.
Her memory will live on through her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and all those whose lives were touched by her kindness, grace, and faith.
A viewing and Rosary will be held on May 5th at Howell Edwards, located at 1350 Commercial St SE. A Mass will be held in her honor, at St Joseph’s Church on May 14th at 10:00 am.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages acts of kindness in her memory.
She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
