Born July 30, 1927 in Selah, WA, Eva Lou was one of two children born to Lon and Daisy Barrett. The second child is her brother Warren Barrett of Yakima, WA. The Barrett’s later relocated to Salem Oregon, where Eva Lou attended and graduated from North Salem High School. She later met and fell in love with Walter “Bud” Stotler, marrying him in October of 1946.
Eva Lou and Bud are survived by four children, Sharon Stotler of Salem; Deborah Franke, husband Steve of Hermiston; Michael Stotler, wife Becky of Scio and Loretta Soza, husband Sam of Houston, TX, Eva Lou’s Brother Warren Barrett of Yakima, WA, 11 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Eva Lou loved her family, being in the outdoors, fishing, genealogy, loose slot machines at pretty much any casino and exploring with Sharon. She was a member of the Eagles for many years and loved to collect all sorts of knickknacks.
Although we are saddened by our loss of Mom, we are happy to believe she is now together with dad. As Mom would say, taught to her by one of the grandkids, “All is good in the hood.”
A Viewing for Eva Lou will be held Friday December 27th, 2013 From 9-12pm With a Funeral service follow starting at 1pm, Held at Howell-Edwards-Doerksen With Rigdon-Ransom Directors. Please Visit WWW.HED-FH.Com to leave online condolences to the family.
