SALEM - Frances “Jack” Buntjer was born March 20, 1923 in Alsen, North Dakota to George and Susan Rohn. She passed away at Salem Hospital on Thursday, June 28, 2012, on the 31st wedding anniversary to her loving and caring husband, Richard.
Jack was a homemaker who loved baking, gardening, family activities and playing cards. She loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and was a member of Westgate Assembly of God.
Jack was preceded in death by her first husband, Arthur J. Buntjer. She is survived by her husband of 31 years Richard Buntjer; her children Allen (Virginia) Buntjer, Dan (Carol) Buntjer, Tim (Andrea) Buntjer, Judy (Daryl) Towers, and Gary (Fran) Buntjer; step-children Kathy Buntjer, Mark (Karen) Buntjer, and Lisa (John) Fitzmaurice; three sisters and a brother; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom she loved dearly.
A visitation will be held Monday, July 2, 1 - 5 pm, followed by a Memorial Service Tuesday, July 3, 11:30 am, both at Howell-Edwards-Doerksen Funeral Home. In addition there is also a graveside service for family on July 3 at 10 am on at Restlawn Memory Gardens on Hwy 22.
