Francine Fay Parker, 79, died peacefully at home on the 19th of June, 2024, after a valiant struggle with cancer. Fran was born in Crivitz, WI to Daisy Marie (Stoneburner) and Carl Erickson, and graduated from Milwaukee County Hospital School of Nursing before moving with her husband to the West Coast. She worked in nursing for her entire career, retiring from Salem Health after 39 years. After retiring, she dove into volunteering, devoured books with her friends at the Wine, Women & Wit book club (with a glass of wine, of course!), and travelled as much as she could. She loved ice cream, red wine and discovering solutions on YouTube, but she did not love to make left turns. She was loved and she will be missed. Fran was predeceased by her first husband, Gary Parker and her second husband, Cliff Corn, as well as her brother, Philip Erickson. She is survived by her daughter Colleen Parker (Alon Friedman) of Tampa, FL; son Michael (Angie) Parker of Starks, ME; grandson Justin Parker of Norman, OK; brothers Norman (Mary) Erickson of Rochester, MN; Allen (Darlene) Erickson of Loveland, CO; Brian Erickson of Guapiles, Costa Rica; and Steven Erickson of Thailand. She is survived as well by her bonus daughters Sheri (Galen) Siddall of Salem, OR and Lori (Dwaine) Kronser of Bowie, MD; and their extended families. Gary’s siblings were also part of her close family: Ron (Sandy) Parker of Lincoln, CA; Judy Williams of Peoria, AZ; Richard (Bonnie) Parker of West Linn, OR; and Kathy (Charlie) MacQueen of Hot Springs Village, AR; and all of the wonderful nieces and nephews. No services are planned – memorial contributions may be made to Salem Health Foundation at https://salemhealthfoundation.org/donate/.
