Gary Lee Flager

Aumsville- Gary Flagers celebration of life will be held at Virgil T. Golden on 605 Commercial Street SE, Salem, Oregon 97301 on Saturday March 22nd starting at 11:00AM. A reception will be following the service. The viewing will be held on Friday March 21st from 3:00-5:00PM.

Gary died March 8th, 2025, with his family by his side.

Gary was born February 15th, 1946, in Salem, Oregon. He attended North Salem High School. On January 5th, 1981, he married Gloria. They made their home in Aumsville.

Gary held many track records at North Salem and was awarded a track scholarship to the University of Missouri. He also ran track at Western Oregon University.

Gary was a devoted Father and Grandfather. He always attended his children’s sporting activities. He enjoyed all the family events, especially playing pinochle with Randy, fishing and camping. Gary also enjoyed spending time with his High School buddies, Mel, Paul and Matt. They met regularly to play poker, golf and other activities.

His family and friends will always treasure the memories of his humor and kindness. Gary was a businessman, teacher and coach.

Gary is survived by his wife Gloria, his children Jayson, Bryan (Cathy), Aaron, Joe (Megan), Julie (Luke) Fitzpatrick and 11 Grandchildren. Gary was preceded in death by his son, Jeffrey.
