Gene Biggins was born to Mike and Cora Biggins in Salem, OR. He grew up on a farm in the Lake Labish area, and graduated from Salem Academy in 1959. After his commitment to the Oregon National Guard, he married Peggy Carr on November 26th, 1960. Gene farmed onions in Lake Labish and Gaston, retiring in 2000. He was a member of Salem First Church of the Nazarene.
Gene enjoyed hunting, fishing, and sports, especially those of his children and grandchildren. Gene was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Gerald. He is survived by his wife, Peggy; children, Jenae, Jill (Steve), Jon (Denise); 5 grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at Salem First Church of the Nazarene on Saturday, October 20th, at 1:00pm. Those who wish may contribute to Salem First Church of the Nazarene building fund or to Salem Academy. Arrangements by Howell-Edwards-Doerksen with Rigdon-Ransom Funeral Directors.
