Janel Leann Potter

She was born on August 1, 1974, the eldest of 3 children to Gary James and Judy Ann (Wymore) Potter in San Diego, CA. She moved to Salem at a young age, and had been a longtime resident. She attended Corban University, and graduated from Willamette University with a law degree. She had owned her own family law practice. Janel enjoyed being outdoors, hiking, camping, fishing, gardening, sewing, crafting, musicals, and had a love for life.

Janel is survived by her three sons, Samuel James West, Benjamin Edward West, Micah Paul West; her mother and father, Gary and Judy Potter; brother, Zachary James Potter (Jami Koryn); sister, Melissa Ann Potter; grandparents A. Wayne Wymore and Rose Marie Wymore; significant other, Terry Ralph Barrett; aunts, Mary Michelle Dotts, Kathleen G. Chicas; uncles, David Nelson Potter, Wayne D. Wymore, Steven D. Wymore, Alan L. Wymore; niece, Makinli Elyse Potter; nephews, Cole James Potter, Cash Jamison Potter, numerous cousins; friends, Virgil Royer, Jerilee Avery, Ket Kwan, Mary Stout, Michelle and many other friends and acquaintances.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, February 27, from 1:30 until 3:30 at Relevant Life Church, 1090 Fairview Ave. SE, Salem, Oregon 97302. Arrangements were entrusted to Howell, Edwards, Doerksen with Rigdon-Ransom Funeral Directors.
