Jan was born in Salem, Oregon, the fifth child of George and Louise (Lohoff) Hageman. She attended Bethel School and North Salem High School.
After graduation in 1958, Jan went to work in the office at West Foods. There she met and fell in love with John Willett. They moved to California, finally settling in Santa Cruz, where Jan was the legal secretary to three Superior Court judges for Santa Cruz County. After John's retirement, they returned to Salem to be near family.
Jan's hobbies were gardening and cross stitch. She loved animals and flowers.
Jan was preceded in death by her parents George and Louise Hageman, husband John Willett,brothers Marvin, Clifford, and Alvin, sister Clurus, nephew David Hageman, great-niece Cassandra Owens.
Jan is survived by many nieces and nephews who will miss her greatly.
At her request, there will be no funeral service.
