I love you, Jasmine. 2 years today and it still feels surreal…

Your memorial was 1 year ago on 8/21/23.  It has been a long and lonely year.   I miss having a daughter and your daughter misses having her mom.

I wish things were different and you and your 2 kids still lived together in Keizer, OR.  The loss of you and your “family” has been difficult.

It’s somehow been a year already… Been filled with sadness, reflection, regret, & and emptiness. Losing a sibling was something you can’t be prepared for. I think about you often. Evenings are stressful as I cant get the memory out of my head of that dreadful notification. Even during the day a hard knock on the door still brings me back to that moment. Unfortunately my children will never know their Aunt as they grow up. I’ll make sure to talk about you and show them pictures from our childhood. I miss our talks in the middle of the night and listening to music. I miss your cooking and your laughter. I wish we could go to Autzen one last time and cheer on the Ducks. I love you, Jazz. Rest peacefully sister. PS: Give Rockie some pets for me!

Happy 37th birthday Jasmine.  I miss you and wish you were here to celebrate with me, and Donovan.

The past year has been painful.  I have experienced every emotion imaginable.  I have so many memories and some regrets.  

I miss your laugh, listening to you sing, watching you cook, enjoying your food and experiencing the love you had for Jerrick, Jaxson and Jacquie.

I did not fully understand the depth of your grief, as a mom, until YOU died.  I remember how devastated I was when Jaxson passed.  I walked with you through the entire process and you shared your grief with me.  You sat on my couch, and cried endlessly.  I loved you Jasmine and that experience forged a bond that could not be forgotten or broken by either of us.

I have watched many of your online reels and you were so creative.  Your kids will appreciate these, as they get older.  I love hearing your voice and your laugh.  You were a loving mom and did the best you could.  I am so sorry that your broken heart could not be repaired 
and that 2023 was an extremely painful year for you that reminded you of prior losses.

I found a “penny” at work last July 25th and I told an Associate about my Pennie’s from heaven belief.  I was notified of your death about 8 hours later.  I continue to find Pennie’s in  various places in our house since your death last July and in other random locations.  I think about you daily and sometimes hourly.

I love and miss you.  Happy birthday Jasmine.  I miss having a daughter.

Happy birthday Jasmine! I think about you every day and miss you more than you could imagine. Talking about you in past tense still doesn’t feel right… Time is cruel sometimes. I’ve thought about seeing Dave Chappelle with you center stage 4th row. Oh, what I would do to share another laugh with you and just walk around downtown Eugene aimlessly. You were my older sister and my friend. I hope you can rest now. I love you Jazz.

Almost a year ago we celebrated Maggie’s and my birthday.  It was such a fun night.  This picture breaks my heart.

Dottie & I met Jasmine when we Pastored in Goshen.  She sang specials at Church & we talked on several occasions.  She was a sweet young lady that was beautiful, talented & had tons potential!  We are very heartbroken to hear of her passing & our prayers are with Louchelle & the family & friends! We loved Jasmine & we love the family!
