Born on April 6, 1974 Jason David Cude grew up in Salem, Oregon, where he embraced life with a quiet spirit and had an appreciation for life's simple ways. As a young boy he played football and baseball and then discovered surfing; combining his love for sports and the Oregon Coast.
For more than 25 years, Jason worked alongside his dad, Les Cude, carrying on the Cude legacy of work in the floor covering industry. This trade became more than a career; it was a special partnership and friendship between dad and son. In his adult years, Jason discovered a love for the arts through Salem's Pentacle Theatre, where he performed in productions such as "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest", “ The Twelth Night",” Noises Off”, “Biloxi Blues” and the two man show, “Meeting Mr. Green”. He had the pleasure of working alongside mentors like Jo Dodge and friends like Robert Herzog during this time.
Though naturally reserved, Jason found joy in life's uncomplicated pleasures. He cherished his friendship with four legged friend Willie. The two spent hours walking and enjoying the beauty and peacefulness of Oregon parks and trails, sometimes bestowing the honor of inviting a loved one along.
Jason was deeply loved by his family. He shared a special bond with his mother, Doris Gleason, who treasured their visits along the Oregon Coast and enjoying the salty, sea air together. He enjoyed holidays, coffee dates and scenic trails with his dad and stepmom, Les and Gigi DeShaw Cude. As a devoted older brother, he remained a trusted confidant to Josh Cude, sharing conversations from afar filled with advice, memories and brotherly support. As a brother-in-law, Jason was always available for an always welcomed sarcastic ribbing or advice to sister-in-law, Angelina Cude.
Jason's kindness, loyalty and quiet strength will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
