

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jean Laack, a beloved soul who graced this world with warmth and compassion for 90 remarkable years. Born on February 3, 1933 to Raymond and Mary Ditter, Jean's journey came to a peaceful close on December 13, 2023.
A pillar of strength and kindness, Jean touched the lives of many with her unwavering love and generosity. A devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother she leaves behind a legacy of compassion, resilience, and an enduring spirit that will be remembered by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Jean's zest for life was evident in her love for gardening, working on her farm and apartments and spending time with her family. She was the third of 7 children. She had 5 sisters (Virginia, Margaret, Donna, Shirley and Judy) and one brother(Jim). She married her husband LeRoy, the love of her life in 1952. They had two sons, Robin and Steven. She had 4 grandkids, Christy, Kelly, Ryan and Casey. She also had 7 great grandchildren and one great great grandson.
As we say our goodbyes, let us remember Jean for the love she shared, the wisdom she imparted, and the countless moments of happiness she brought into our lives. May she find eternal peace, and may her spirit continue to inspire us to lead lives of compassion and purpose.
Her funeral will be on Wednesday December 27th at 10am at Howell Edwards Doerksen with Rigdon Ransom Funeral Directors with a graveside service to follow. A celebration of life for Jean will take place at a later time and date.
Rest in peace, dear Jean. Your legacy will forever remain in our hearts.
