She was born on March 25, 1942 in Salem, Oregon to Violet (Lewis) Smith and Albert Lewis. Jerry grew up with her mother, two sisters and brother in Brooks, Oregon and in the Salem area. She retired from the Salem-Keizer school district where she worked for many years in janitorial services.
Although Jerry Hansen was a strong independent woman, she was generous and kindhearted. During her life, she enjoyed traveling in her RV, visiting the Oregon coast, and spending time with her family and friends. Although they lived separately and never married, Freddy Woock was the love of her life. They continued a life-long friendship until his death.
Later in her life, Jerry became the guardian of Kayden Peterson and raised him from an infant.
Jerri Hansen is preceded in death by her mother, father, and her brother, Bobby Lewis. She is survived by her sisters Sharon Milligan and Patty Bradshaw; her daughter Holly Stocker; and her grandchildren Merriah Lewis, Marissah Lewis, Jeremy Lewis (and Jenna Germond), Joshua Lewis, Alex Stocker (and Ashlynn Davis), Izaiah Stocker (and Brihana Stone) and Kayden Peterson. She is also survived by her 10 great-grandchildren and many extended family members and friends who called her Nana.
