Jerry was born on March 26, 1964 in the little town of Lubbock, Texas. This implanted a love of Tejano culture and pride for a lifetime. As a young man he loved and many times excelled at a wide variety of sports. Just a bit later in life, he moved up to the beautiful Pacific Northwest, further watering a seed of deep love for the great outdoors, especially fishing. He spent much time there and was continually nurtured by his hospitable extended family.
With an eye for detail, passion for greenery, and an ambitious spirit he started New Image Landscape, a company that carried on for decades. But he started something much more precious, a family of his own. With his prior wife Lori, they together brought him his daughters Alicia and Andrea, his lil “chickadees”.
As unforeseen moments are a part of life, his tragically came much too soon as he passed away in his sleep on June 30, 2023. He had much more life he wanted to live.
He has the love of those who survive him: his father Max, his mother Beatrice, his brother Henry, his sister Elena, his sister Norma, his sister Maxine, his daughters: Misty, Alicia, and Andrea, along with his grandson Ezekiel. As well as in the eternal memories of countless loving family and friends.
Jerry, we’ll see your big smile when a fish is caught, in the joy of a song, the pool stick shot, the “brewski” we hold, the peaceful stillness of water, and those moments when we enjoy life’s gifts as you did…and will one day again do.
