Joann Maurine Lee was born in Salem, Oregon on September 11, 1934 to Jesse A. Walter and Lulu M. Walter (Youngs) and went to be with her Lord on November 14, 2023. In 1953, she married the love of her life, Dale W. Lee. She was a lifelong member of Salem First Free Methodist Church, serving over the years as Sunday School teacher, singer and as treasurer. She worked for the State of Oregon for over 30 years.
She was predeceased by her husband Dale, her son James D., her parents and brothers Jesse Jr. and Dean. She is survived by her son Robert Edward (Nancy) and many nieces, nephews and church family.
Services will be held at a later date this coming spring at Salem First Free Methodist Church. Internment will be at Willamette National Cemetery.
