

Jonie Marie Fisher, age 76, of Keizer, Oregon, passed away on Thursday July 18, 2019. Jonie was born November 26, 1942, in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, to Raymond and Marie (Evans) Cathey, one of 9 children.
She was raised and resided in California most of her life. For a time she moved to Alaska with her two daughters, Tina Marie Graham and Terri Lee Graham. Together they moved back to California where she and her girls resided in Redwood City and later San Jose, eventually moving to southern California. For over 30 years, Jonie worked for Bank of America. She met Jim Fisher and the two were united in marriage in 1978. Together they shared over 10 years of happiness until Jim passed away in 1987. Following his death, Jonie moved to Oregon to be near family.
Jonie adored her family above all else. In her retirement she loved spending time with sisters, brothers and numerous nieces and nephews in the Salem area. She enjoyed craft activities, especially macramé and crochet. Jonie also loved to garden, having grown numerous flowers and vegetables throughout her life in California and mainly vegetables at her home in Keizer. Jonie's main focus were the children in her life and she was known for the Christmas Stockings that she handmade for each child she was Auntie to.
Jonie was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Marie; husband, Jim; and brothers, Ray Cathey and twin, Jimmy Cathey.
She is survived by, daughters, Tina Graham and Terri Graham; sisters, Evelyn Johnson, Geraldine Carrier, Mildred Atkinson, and Linda Patterson; brothers, Sam Cathey and James Cathey; as well as, numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and even great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.
Graveside service will take place at 2pm, Saturday, July 20, 2019, at Belcrest Memorial Park Cemetery of Salem, Oregon. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.hed-fh.com for the Fisher family.
