Joyce Delaine Fish-Javor-Bolles

Joyce was born on October 23, 1930 in Alliance, Nebraska and was the daughter of Marvin and Geraldine (Brenaman) Langford. At age 6, she moved to Salem with her mom and 2 older sisters. The family was driven from Nebraska under the care of their uncle, Russell and reunited with Joyce’s father, Marvin who moved before the family for work.

Joyce graduated from Salem High School and in 1947 she married Ernest Fish in Salem. Joyce worked for the Department of Veterans Affairs for a number of years and as an interior designer for Ernest D. Fish Inc., her husband’s construction company. She was also a dedicated homemaker and mom for her 3 children, Dann, Kimberly and Bradley.

Joyce and Ernie were later divorced and in 1978, she married Peter Javor in Salem. They were later divorced. In 1992, she married Don Bolles. They lived in Portland for 5 years and were later divorced. Joyce returned to Keizer.

Joyce was a lively, creative individual with a spirited personality that people adored. She loved social gatherings and enjoyed to dance, sing and entertain a crowd. Her family was her life and she enjoyed traveling and shopping. She enjoyed decorating her home. Joyce also dearly loved her pets.

Joyce was also very involved in a variety of civic groups and activities to include the Junior Women’s League, the Elks Lodge and the Eagles Lodge. She was also a member of the Home Builders Association that was founded by Ernest D. Fish.

Joyce is survived by her children, Kimberly Fish- Wright of Salem and Bradley (life partner, Dr. Patrick Dominguez) Fish of Los Angeles, sisters, Shirley Schwertmann of Portland and Lynne Langford of Portland and brother, Monte (wife, Becky) Langford of Oregon City along with numerous nieces and nephews. Her son, Dann Fish and her sister, Donna Largent both preceded her in death.

A visitation will be on Friday, May 1, 2015 from 10:00 am – 5:00 pm with a funeral service on Sunday, May 3, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Howell, Edwards, Doerksen Funeral Home. Private inurnment will be at Belcrest Memorial Park. Contributions in memory of Joyce may be made to Willamette Valley Hospice, 1015 3rd St. NW Salem, OR 97304. Howell, Edwards, Doerksen is handling the arrangements.
