Joyce Hopkins, 52 was born to Vern and Margaret Wimp, raised in Salem and lived here all her life. Joyce never lived more than a few miles from her childhood home. She graduated from McKay High School the first year it opened.
Joyce worked 34 years for the same Kidney Dialysis center, now known as DaVita. Everyone knew her smile and infectious laugh.
She is survived by her two sons, Kolby (wife Jennifer) and Kristopher, her husband David Smoot, her parents, and siblings Lynn (husband Gary), Terry and Troy Wimp.
Memorial Service will be held Friday, September 26, 5:30pm at The Peoples Church, 4500 Lancaster Drive, Salem.
Joyce is in the care of Howell Edwards Doerksen Funeral Home.
