

Juanita “Fritzi” Shaffer, age 94, passed away peacefully July 21, 2020 in Cambridge, Idaho at Salubria Assisted Living. She was born February 9, 1926 in St. Helens, Oregon to Earnest and Eva Evans. She married Charles “Chuck” Shaffer, on April 9, 1944, who preceded her in death in 1988.
Fritzi loved to love people. She was a dedicated wife and mother, constantly doting over her children and family members. Her life was a living example of the Bible verse, Ephesians 4:32 - “And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ.”
Fritzi is survived by her brothers Chuck “Buck” Evans and wife Dorothy, Perry Evans and wife Rae; sisters Joann Middaugh, Carol McCubbin and husband Ray; son Dave Shaffer and wife Debbie; daughters Charlee Sikel, Kathy Woods, Tanya Forman and husband Richard, Jeannie Zimmerman and husband Ron; son Kevin Shaffer; plus 12 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and 4 grand-dogs. She is preceded in death by brother Louie Evans, sister Maxine Robinson, and daughter Tammy Shaffer.
Graveside memorial will be held July 31, 2020 at 2:00pm at Belcrest Memorial Park, Salem.
