

After high school she lived and worked in Salem, then ventured east and settled in Tennessee. She made lifelong friendships, played guitar, married Tom Cage (deceased) and gained two daughters in her time there.
She moved back to Tillamook, Oregon in 1985. She ran a gift and flower shop and was always passionate about arts and crafts.
Moving back to Salem/Keizer in the late 80s, she began working for the Marion County Sheriff's office until her retirement in 2009. During her time at the Sheriff's office she met and married Tim Taylor (deceased).
Karen is survived by her mother, Jewell Miller, her sister Toni Bateman, brother-in-law Randy Bateman, brothers George Miller, and Mike Miller, two daughters, Sarah Clark, son-in-law Aaron Clark, and Patty McClung, and multiple loving grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
Karen crafted, and loved making personalized cards. She spent tireless hours in her evolving garden that developed year after year into an oasis.
Her house and garden was the central hub for many holidays with great memories, and she was a central figure to so many.
Karen had the most selfless heart. She was constantly giving, supporting, and providing love and time to family and friends.
She will be deeply missed but will always be treasured and remembered.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 19th, from 2-4 in her beloved backyard.
