Love at first sight struck Duane in an office when he met Naomi Schulke. After a very brief courtship they married on May 11, 1951. He ministered to the Native Americans of Arizona from 1964 to 2004 and in 1976 he was ordained with Assembly’s of God Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents; 3 brothers; 3 sisters; son, Ronald Lee Johnson; and daughter, Lila Mae. He is survived by his loving wife, Naomi; son, Johnny (Lisa) Johnson; daughter in law, Linda Johnson; 6 grandkids; 11 great-grandkids; 2 great-great-grandkids; 2 brothers and a sister.
A visitation at Howell Edwards Doerksen Funeral Home on Friday, January 4th from 2-5pm. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, January 5th at 1pm at Brooks Assembly of God with a reception to follow.
