Wishing to let the entire family know what a magnificent mother you had. We were so blessed to spend time both in Salem and at the beach with Laura. Her gentleness and quaintness can't be captured in words, because not only was she so attractive looking into her 90's, with her blush on her cheeks and rose lipstick, but her graciousness was beyond comparison. She was truly a special person, probably the most kind and loving person you would ever meet.
Laura has touched so many who had the joy of knowing her. As I told Lois, I was amazed to see her rhubarb still growing at the farm in Overly a few years ago. She had a special touch with flowers, painting. We loved coming to Salem and enjoying the beautiful April apple blossoms, going to the beach in Lincoln City.
It was always the must fun to be around Laura, to see her enjoy a glass of wine on the beach - Laura did have a joie de viere. Also, loved her style, her necklaces, scarves and tam. She had such a great memory of every person from when they were young, and could capture an image.
Roger and I had a great time at Laura's 90th birthday. She was a wonderful aunt. I could go on and on, but Laura captured everything you would wish a person to be always - caring, funny, genuine, spirited, humble, thoughtful, loving. She was the one person we couldn't wait to hug. We will miss those halcyon days.
Now she is in the arms of the angels, her spirit will be with us. We treasure the time we had with her, and extend our sorrow to you at this time.
Ralph and Laura were very special to us.

I remember Laura's gentle voice and her wonderful smile. I will always remember a gracious lady when I think of her. God bless you all.
