As a child she enjoyed singing in the church choir. She was blessed with her son, Bill Baerman, in 1961. Her first job was as a Horticulturist. She enjoyed working with her beautiful Gladiolus; and even developed her own varieties.
She went on to work as a food processor and for the Oregonian in her later years. Eventually retiring in 1999 to spend her days with her son, she continued to work on her garden and enjoyed cooking, word puzzles, watching television; especially games shows and cooking shows. Her favorite sport to watch on television was golf. She also enjoyed music; especially old hymns of the church.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband; Ralph Baerman, and three brothers; Carl, LeRoy, and LeLand (Laack). She married Gerald Dunlap in 1977. He passed away in 2002. Three brothers William, Walter, and Charles Dunlap preceded her in death. She is survived by one brother, Kenneth Dunlap and her son, Bill Baerman; along with countless friends and family.
No services are scheduled at this time. Lavonne will be laid to rest at Restlawn Memorial Gardens in Salem, Oregon.
