SALEM - Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother, passed away on March 19, 2012, at the age of 97. She spent her childhood in Nebraska before moving to Oregon in 1930. She married Joe Rosen in 1948 and together opened and successfully operated "The Tiller Shop" on South Commercial for many years. Lillian's husband Joe Rosen (1979) and son Dean Dunz (1999) predeceased her.
Lillian was an active member of the First Christian Church, supported the Salem Senior Center, traveled, loved to garden and was a talented painter. Her creative work was shared with many family members and friends. Her grandson, Randy Dunz, was especially helpful by taking care of her yard and household chores. Her family would marvel at her mental skills as she shared the local Salem news or how to properly make one of her favorite recipes.
Her daughter, Donna Russell, stepson Larry Rosen, stepson and daughter-in-law Lee and Loleta Rosen, survive Lillian. Grandchildren: Bob Russell, Mary Lyn Russell, Cece Henry, Frank Russell, Debbie Waters, Don and Randy Dunz, Paul, Lee, Thom and Greg Rosen, Kim Easthouse and Kevin Rosen; Great-grandchildren: Ben, Molly, and Anna Russell, Jennifer, Jessica, Julie and Jeffrey Waters, Aly and Garret Easthouse, Morgan and Troy Rosen, Eric Rosen, Chris Rosen, Joe Rosen, Robert, Scott and Heather Rosen continue her legacy. Two great-great grandchildren Nathan Rosen and Taylor Zehner also survive her.
If you would like to remember Lillian, we encourage you donate to your favorite charity in her name.
