Lloyd Ernest Stainbrook

Lloyd Ernest Stainbrook, age 70, passed away on September 18, 2023 surrounded by family and friends. He was born on June 8, 1953 to Ernest and Wanda Stainbrook in Salem, Oregon. He was a proud employee of Boise Cascade for over 44 years and was honored to be a member and serve his local union.

Lloyd married the love of his life, Lucilla Kaye Stainbrook, on September 11, 1977 and together they raised two daughters. Lloyd loved the outdoors, especially spending time in Sisters, OR. His favorite hobbies were camping and deer & elk hunting. One of his favorite memories was antelope and elk hunting in John Day, Oregon with his best friend.

Lloyd was known for his selflessness, generosity, and caring nature. He always wanted everyone to feel happy and loved. His greatest joy was time spent with his family and grandchildren. He adored and loved every moment with his grandchildren and he loved his family and friends dearly. Lloyd will be remembered as a devoted husband, and a loving and caring father and grandfather. He will be incredibly missed by many.

He is survived by his wife: Lucilla Kaye Stainbrook; daughters: Pam Black, Velvet Cowan (Michael), Desiree Given (Ryan); and his beloved grandchildren: Amon, Lucy, Asher, Knox, and Cade; along with many cousins, nieces, nephews and many dear friends that he considered family.

A visitation for Lloyd will be held Friday, September 22, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Howell, Edwards, Doerksen with Rigdon-Ransom Funeral Directors, 1350 Commercial Street SE, Salem, Oregon 97302. A celebration of life will occur Saturday, September 30, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Howell, Edwards, Doerksen with Rigdon-Ransom Funeral Directors.
