

Lois was born to Harold and Beulah Clark on November 10th, 1931 She grew up in Portland, Oregon, near Lombard Blvd. and later the Alberta district. She was brilliant in grade school, where they skipped her ahead two semesters. Lois graduated from Girls Poly High School and then attended college at the age of 16, where she was active in Junior Roadside Council and folk dancing.
She married the love of her life, Myron Bish, on October 8th, 1949 in Vancouver, Washington. They lived in Burns, where her first son was born. They moved to Hillsboro and finally ended up living in Salem for many years where two more sons were born. Lois worked as an administrative assistant in Highway Division and then as Executive Assistant to the director of Fairview Training Facility She ended her career as the Administrative Assistant to the head doctor at Fairview. Lois and Myron enjoyed participating in Flying Farmers activities and making numerous friends with similar interests in farming and flying. Lois acquired her pilot's license, but never flew solo. She retired from State service in 1980.
Lois and Myron moved to Apache Junction, Arizona and became snowbirds, traveling to the Salem area during the summers and back to Arizona in the winter. Later they relocated to Henderson, Nevada. During their retirement years, Lois and Myron enjoyed traveling the country by motor home. Many of those trips were to seek out and contact relatives in Texas, Virginia and Oklahoma. Lois was very interested in genealogy and made numerous trips around the country to seek out information on family.
Lois especially enjoyed participating in Flying Farmer events, Daughters of the American Revolution and Red Hat Society. She attended First Church of the Nazarene whenever she was able. Her hobbies in later years were reading and participating in activities at BonAdventure Retirement Center. She even participated in acting in the Wizard of Oz, put on by that facility last year.
Lois leaves behind son and daughter-in-law Monte and Suzie Bish; son Lauren Bish; and son and daughter-in-law Douglas and Karen Bish; her sister Faye Larson: grandchildren Katherine, Kristin, Brandon, Alexander, Katya, Stephanie, Derek, Kaityna, Dejai, Kortnee, Kyle and 18 great-grandchildren.
Lois was devoted to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, all her life and is now in His presence in glory, along with her devoted husband, Myron, who preceded her in death September 26, 2007.
Services for Lois are at First Nazarene at 1 pm Friday, December 4th and a viewing is scheduled at Howell Edwards Mortuary on Thursday, December 3rd from 4 to 6 pm.
