Lonnie was the youngest son of Bernice Johnson Kerber and Herman Johnson. He is survived by his older brother Jerry Johnson also of Salem.
Lonnie went to school in Stayton and attended Fairview Training Center for 12 years before living in the community from 1975 on. He had jobs at Garten, Shangri-La, woodshop, gardens, and small package assembly.
Lonnie enjoyed spending time with his brother and friends. He was great at telling stories and loved to joke with people he knew best. He loved camping and enjoyed trips to the beach and Silver Creek Falls. His favorite holiday was Christmas and 4th of July. He loved the Oregon State Beavers, and his mom's blackberry pie.
His friends at Community Support Services where he has lived for over 24 years will miss him greatly.
