

Lynne Ann Parsons passed away peacefully at home with her husband Richard “Terry” Parsons at her side on December 16, 2103 after a seven year battle with Frontal Lobe Dementia. Lynne was born in Imperial, Nebraska on January 1, 1939 to Charles and Vivian Enyeart. She moved with her family to Salem, Oregon when she was 5 years old. She attended Bush Elementary School, Leslie Jr. High School and graduated from South Salem High in 1956. She then attended Oregon State College (now OSU) and graduated in 1960 with a degree in elementary education. While going to Oregon State, she married Terry Parsons on September 6, 1958.
She taught 1st grade at McKinley grade school and then at Queen of Peace School. In 1987 she obtained her real estate license and worked as a real estate agent with Coldwell Banker for many years before retiring.
Lynne loved to travel especially on her many trips to Hawaii with the “Hussies” where she kept the party going with her great sense of humor. Another favorite destination was Puerto Vallarta, Mexico where she enjoyed many, many wonderful trips with her friends and family over the years. A long time Beaver Fan, she and her husband held season tickets for many years at OSU and enjoyed tailgating and traveling to away games.
She is survived by her Husband, Richard Terry Parsons, her brother Gordon Enyeart, her Sons, Scott and Jeff Parsons and her Daughter Michelle Hasbrook, along with her grandchildren Andrew, Caroline and AnneMarie Hasbrook together with her extended family. She was preceded in death by her Parents and her dear Sister Joanne New.
Her family would like to extend a very special thank you for the wonderful care from her dear friend Patty Howard and the Willamette Valley Hospice.
Services will be held at 11:30am, Thursday, December 19, 2013 at Howell Edwards Doerkson Funeral Home in Salem, Oregon. A Celebration of her life will be held at Creekside Golf Club at 2pm in an open house style basis for friends and family to reminisce in her honor.
