

Miriam was born on May 21, 1951 in Coronado, CA. She was the oldest daughter of Jesse B. and Barbara Slingluff Gay. Being from a Navy family, she lived in several different states and went to several schools. She graduated from Langley High School in McLean, VA where she was a lead singer in the Incredible Fog.
She went on to get a degree in architecture from VA Tech. She moved to Atlanta and had a long career in electrical power distribution with the Southern Company. She also was a real estate agent for a while. She became a private investigator and owned an heir finding business with her husband Rick. She was an avid gardener and game player.
Miriam will be remembered as loving wife, mother, sister and friend. She loved gardening, playing Rummikub and bridge, exploring nurseries, bringing people flowers, hosting dinners and being with friends and family. She will be remembered for her warm engaging personality and beautiful smile.
She is survived by husband Rick, son Kevin, brothers Tom and Jesse, and sister Kaethe.
