Monica Lillian Majeski

April 1, 1928 – March 7, 2010

Keizer ~ Monica L. Majeski, 81, died March 7, 2010. Monica was born in Mt. Angel, Oregon to Clement and Rosalia Duda.

Monica graduated from Mt. Angel Academy in 1946. She married Ralph V. Majeski on April 17, 1954. She was employed as an Executive Assistant for the State of Oregon and retired in 1993. She attended St. Joseph’s Catholic Church and St. Edwards Catholic Church. Monica was a longtime member of the Heritage Chapter of the A.B.W.A and a Past President, she was also a member of the Oregon Gardens.

Monica held a strong faith in God. She was a generous person and loved to care for her large and extended family. She took great delight in the success of the ones she loved. Monica taught kindness and strength by her example.

She is survived by her sister Olive Duda, of Keizer, daughters; Donna Munson, of Hillsboro, Sally Pond, of La Center, Wash., Ruth Todd, of Salem, Jane Stickney, of Battleground, Wash., and Diane Edwards, of Keizer and, son Joe Majeski, of Corvallis, as well as 20 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Monica was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph V. Majeski in June, 1973 and brothers Ambrose and Robert, and her sister. Margaret.

Visitation will be held at Howell-Edwards-Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 10th from noon to 7:00 p.m., followed by a rosary at 7:00 p.m. A funeral mass will be held Thursday, March 11th at 10:30 a.m. at St. Edwards Catholic Church. Interment will take place on Thursday, March 11th at 1:30 p.m. at Belcrest Memorial Park.
