Born on August 30, 1943 and raised in Bostwick, Florida, the son of Avery Driggers and Lula Dorinda Glisson, Morris graduated from Palatka High School and attended 2 years at St. Johns River Junior College. He served in the United States Air Force for 20 years. He was married to Bernice Boyd on June 10, 1966 and to Treva Glisson on June 29, 1991. Morris worked as a jet and turbine engine mechanic in the Air Force and, following his military retirement, he performed environmental monitoring services for the Pantry, Inc. He had a passion for fishing, hunting and camping and his military career took him to Viet Naam, North Dakota, Arizona and Alaska, where he lived for 12 years.
He is survived by his son Sean Driggers of West Linn, Oregon, daughter Kimberly Morris of Anchorage, Alaska and four granddaughters. Morris was a generous and kind man who never met a stranger, who loved and cared for his family, and who was loved by his many friends. He had a wonderful sense of humor and enjoyed the outdoors, especially bass fishing on the St. Johns River, Florida. He will be missed by his family and friends.
