

Nancy was born in St. Joseph, MO to Richard and Dorothy (Dishman) Rice.
She graduated from Lafayette High School in St. Joseph, MO and attended the University of Central Missouri (Warrensburg). Nancy was on the high school honor roll all four years, varsity cheerleader three years, 1964 basketball queen, talent queen and Senior Class President.
Nancy was retired from American Family Insurance and Horizon Restoration.
She was a 55 year member of Sweet Adeline's International, where she held many positions too numerous to mention. She enjoyed singing, directing, and coaching many chorus and quartets. Nancy believed in bringing young people to singing and continues to support Young Singers Foundation.
Nancy is survived by her husband David and two sons Eric and Tige (Ellie), grandsons Oliver, Emmett, Braxton, and Ethan, and two great-grandchildren, brothers John Rice (Shawnee, KS), Dan Rice (Overland Park, KS), Scott Smith (Marshfield, MO), sisters Lisa Woolridge (Columbia, MO), Sybil Thompson (Cameron, MO) and many nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Uncle Gerald J. Dishman, bother Michael J. Rice, and nephew Keegan A Rice.
