

He was born July 13, 1922 in Mingo, Iowa to Walter and Hazel (Shankland) Geisler owners of a hog and cattle farm. He married classmate Lucy Noring in 1944. Bill owned and operated a Machine Shop and Construction Company until he had to retire as a result of an injury in 1980.
He married Marilyn (Hay) Hill in 1985 and they moved to Oregon in 1988. Bills favorite hobby was Model Trains and he organized the Great Northwest Train Show and Swap Meet at the Salem Fairgrounds. They also enjoyed weekly trips to Guthrie Park, south of Dallas, OR to attend Jam Sessions. They joined the Marion County Live Stock Association, the Geology Club and Salem Church of the Nazarene on Market Street.
Bill was preceded in death by parents, siblings and step daughter Carol Chitty.
Survived by former wife, Lucy Noring Geisler of Colo, Iowa, son Jerry, daughters Letha (Dick) DeMoss and Bonnie Warner and their Children and Grandchildren. Wife, Marilyn, stepsons Leslie (Audrey) Hill and Loren Hill, stepdaughter Cynthia Hill and stepgrandsons Paul, Aaron and Stephen (Jessica) Hill and James Chitty, step granddaughters, Jennifer Schrank, Mary Chitty and numerous great grandchildren.
