

Ray served 2 tours of duty in Iraq and one tour in Afghanistan; serving as a combat field medic. He had many friends in the National Guard and US Army and co-workers at Emmanuel Hospital where he worked as an Emergency Technician. Ray helped countless people within his lifetime and would give them the shirt off his back if they had asked him to. Ray Ray loved fishing, hunting, and crabbing on the Oregon Coast. He loved the Seattle Seahawks with a passion; always watched every game rooting them on. He was also good at pulling practical jokes on people and getting in a good laugh. Ray was a devoted, loving father, grandfather (Pa-pa), brother, son and friend.
Ray is survived by his children, K’dasia Meyer; granddaughter Kalia Randall; son, Kainoa Meyer; his mother, JoAnn Bach; sisters Raceah Gravitt, Brittney Meyer, Gina Royston; and his brother, Travis Meyer. Ray was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Scott Meyer.
Viewing will be held at Howell, Edwards, Doerksen with Rigdon-Ransom Funeral Directors, 1350 Commercial Street SE Salem, OR, 97301 on Saturday, February 18, and Sunday, February 19, both days from 3 pm until 7pm. Interment will be held at Willamette National Cemetery on February 24th at 12:00pm. A Celebration of Life will be held immediately following services at Willamette at the Gresham Armory, 544 NE Division St, Gresham, OR 97030.
