Ginny possessed a quiet grace and sharp intelligence, graduating with honors and a 4.0 GPA from Saint Monica High School. She was deeply rooted in her Southern California heritage and drew people to her throughout her life. An early entrepreneur, she owned and operated video rental stores and later built a successful eBay retail business, making connections through estate sales and selling online across Oregon and beyond. A listener, protector, and playful sister, she was also a loving mother, a devoted wife, and later a cherished widow — a gentle, welcoming soul to all who crossed her path. She was the first of her family to make a home in Oregon, a trailblazer for those who would follow, and she will be remembered for her nurturing heart, gentle strength, and a gift for listening and caring for others. She was a quiet, steadfast, and grounding force in the lives of those she loved. As a grandmother, she was a favorite, creating a world of magic and warmth with countless slumber parties, movie nights, and a collection of Disney films that brought joy to every visit.
She is survived by her three children — Jimmy, Aleta, and Chris — as well as 15 cherished grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She was the daughter of Morris and Ernestina Helen Harmell, and sister to Jacque, Jon, and Steve.
Ginny will be remembered for the quiet grace and resilience she carried throughout her life.
