There are so many memories of Rene over my 2 years of her being a resident at Willson House. She was a feisty ray of sunshine on any given day. Loved spending my lunch breaks in the dining room with her hearing her stories of the old days. I've always said when I grow up I want to be just like her, feisty, sassy and classy. I may not get to the classy but I'm sure she taught me the other two very well.

Aunt Rene was an aunt that I will always remember with fondness. I had great fun when she visited us in South Dakota and when I visited her in Salem. I was fortunate to be able to help her celebrate her 100th birthday. Sadly, she is the last of my relatives of that generation.

Rene was always fun to be around. She had a good sense of humor. Over the years I had many laughs with her. Always enjoyed my visit with her when I went to Salem.
