Reta was born in Silverton, Oregon on July 31 1920. She lived in Silverton while obtaining an Associates Degree in her studies. She then went on to live and work in Hollywood, CA, Escondido, CA. and Salem, OR.
Reta worked for a Hollywood Producer and enjoyed the social activites that led to her meeting several movie and TV stars. She loved socializing and hosting parties.
Reta and Vern Spence were married in Catalina, CA. on February 14, 2001. They loved fishing, traveling and she especially loved playing Bridge.
Reta will join her loving husband Vern Spence in the Willamette National Cemetery in Portland, OR.
Reta is survived by her son Jack, two grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, Reata requested donations be sent to the Salem Animal Shelter in Salem, Oregon.
