Robin D Jans- Husband, Father, Teacher, Grandfather-passed away peacefully on 05/31/2022 at the age of 86. Robin was born in Colorado to Fred and Clara Jans and was their youngest child. He earned a Bachelor's degree in Education from Oregon State University and began his teaching career in Ketchikan, Alaska. In May 1962 he married a fellow teacher, Jean, and the newlyweds moved to California to continue their teaching careers. Both of their daughters were born in California and the family moved to Salem, Oregon in 1970.
Robin worked at various elementary schools in Salem as a teacher until his declining health forced him to retire in 1993.
After retirement Robin and Jean enjoyed traveling on multiple trips to Europe, and throughout the United States. Robin and Jean were married 55 years before she passed away in 2018.
Robin is survived by his daughters Susan Alderson (Greg), and JoAnne Spink (David) and his three wonderful grandsons.
