Rusty Lee McCallister

Rusty Lee McCallister passed away at the age of 60 in Salem, Oregon on October 13, 2026. He passed away from a long battle of organ failures. His family was by his side. He was born on May 5, 1966 in Salem, Oregon to Lee and Mary Jane McCallister. He married Kimberly Ann Calder on March 23, 1966 after loving each other for 9 years. They mainly lived in Salem, but also lived for a time in Astoria, Oregon and Jefferson, Oregon.

He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, boating, and camping with friends and family. He also enjoyed watching television-movies and TV series.

He is survived by his wife Kimberly McCallister, His children Devin and Cassandra both in Salem, and Elizabeth Solis from Vancouver, Washington. His grandchildren Margaret and Finley Solis both in Vancouver, Washington with mother Elizabeth. His parents Lee and Mary Jane of Salem. His brothers Kenneth, Ronald, and Richard all in Salem. His nieces and nephews Domonique Coker, Kam McCallister, Linnsey Bennett and Sierra McCallister.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, uncles, and granddaughter Murphy.

We will be having a potluck memorial for Rusty to celebrate his life. This will be at the Broadway Coffeehouse at 1300 Broadway Street NE, Salem, Oregon. It will take place on November 14th from 1-4PM. It will be on the 2nd floor from the loft.
