Ruth Redinger

Ruth was one of ten children, two of which were twins, who died at birth. Ruth is survived by one sister, Margaret Olsen, age 93; of Junction City.

Ruth married the love of her life, Gilbert E. Redinger, on August 19th, 1944, in Santa Barbara, California; a few days before Gilbert shipped out to serve as a tank commander, under General George Patton. As husband and wife, Ruth made lovely homes for their three children, Carolyn Schutzmann of Jefferson, OR, Catherine Boyington of Manti, Utah; and Brian Redinger of Salem. Ruth is survived by her three children, 6 grandchildren, 10 great-grand children, 1 great-great-grand daughter. Ruth was a soft spoken, classy and a true lovely lady, who was respected and deeply loved by all that knew her.

Her family would like to thank her doctor Dr. Mark Vanderburgh, Avamere Court of Keizer, Salem Hospital, for their loving care.

Ruth was with her son, Brian, who was always by her side, and at the time of her death, being held and kissed by her son, to be sent off to heaven, to see many loved ones gone before her.

A viewing will be held Thursday, August 18th from 9 am ~ 1 pm, followed by a Graveside Service at Belcrest Memorial Park at 2 pm. Arrangements by Howell-Edwards-Doerksen with Rigdon-Ransom Funeral Directors.
