Sara Beth Anderson-Lancaster

    Born May 26th, 1978 in Roseburg, Oregon to Michael Lee Anderson and Kathy McClain Anderson. Sara spent her early years in Roseburg and Salem, Oregon, graduating high school in Winston, Oregon. Moving back to Salem, where her daughter Daisy was born, Sara was a dedicated, loving and hard working single Mom. Sara met Richard in 2000 and they moved to Bend, Oregon where her son Marcus was born. Her children were the highlight and greatest joy of her life.

   She married Richard Lancaster in 2013 and moved to San Jose, California, where they met best friends, the Blake & Hope Herring family. They took several memorable family trips together including DisneyWorld and Hawaii. Even attending a concert to her favorite band, Fleetwood Mac. She and her husband relocated back to Salem to be closer to family. Sara was a wonderful daughter, wife, mother and Mimi she was caring, happy and passionate about her family. Sara is remembered for lighting up any room with her big smile. She got her greatest joy from her children and two grandchildren along with her dog Roxy.

   She was an avid crocheter, making so many beautiful pieces for family and friends. She loved being a home maker, was a great cook and enjoyed cake decorating making the most beautiful decorated cup cakes. For a short time she worked at Walmart in the bakery.

  Sara was preceded in death by her father, Michael L Anderson and her step-father Donald G McLaughlin Sr.

  She is survived by her husband Richard Lancaster, daughter Daisy Kae King (Tyler) son Marcus Lancaster, her mother, Kathy McLaughlin, grandparents Milford and Juanita McClain, grandchildren Olyver and Aubrey King, Sisters: Megan Hodges(Mitchell), Cristin Anderson, Brothers: Ryan Anderson, Donald McLaughlin Jr. (Kara) and Levi Burson, Aunts & Uncles: Charles McClain(Pam), Mike McClain, Monica Flury (Jeff), Gail McDonnell (Ross), Tammy Harris (David), and Richard Anderson(Kris), and numerous neices, nephews and cousins.

  Sara, we love you, desperately miss you and we’ll see you once again in our heavenly home.

  A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
