Thomas (Tom) Duleigh Johnson's birthday was April 15th "tax day" 1940. He passed peacefully on January 25th, 2013. He was born and raised in Salem, Oregon, where he met and married the love of his life Sharon Gately. They both attended and graduated from North Salem High.
He then went on to serve in the army before coming home to Salem where they had settled. Tom worked for the State of Oregon before he went to work and retired from Norpac Foods Inc. in Stayton, Oregon.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon, his parents Duleigh P. and Ethel J. Johnson, his brothers Robert, Gerald, Jack and Larry.
He is survived by his dog Buster and his kitty cat Billy. He will be truly missed by many.
A public viewing will be Friday, February 1 from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. at the Howell Edwards Funeral Home. The services, with military honors, will be Saturday, February 2nd at 1:00 p.m. at the Belcrest Mausoleum Chapel where he will be laid to rest near his beloved wife.
